Hey everyone, sorry it has been so long. Between Caringbridge and Facebook I have been finding it hard to keep up with this. But, I want to stay connected to everyone so am going to try a little harder :)
We have been enjoying this wonderful weather. I love to wake up in the morning and sit outside and enjoy hearing all the sounds. I love feeling the breeze and just reflecting on my life. I have the bestest family ever. Toby is a wonderful husband and has been helping out so much. For so long it seemed like that the kiddos were to little to go and have any "Me" time, but lately he has been so great about keeping the kiddo's and encouraging me to have girl time. It has been so great. I cam ehome one night and everything was perfect. I actually got to go straight to bed with out picking up anything. It has really helped me and I feel like such a nicer person when I do get to have my own time.
Bailey has started Kindergarten this year and is hanging in there. She is so used ot being home that it is a big adjustment to be away. She has a wonderful teacher that is really helping with this transition. She got a new puppy for her birthday. We named him Albert after Albert Pujols who plays for the St. Louis Cardinals. He waits for her when she gets home from school and they love each other. He is great for our family.
Parker has been doing really good health wise. I jsut hope we can stay away from the flu this year. Yesterday he started having a really stopped up nose and it has started to turn green and is coughing. So, we started adding a 3rd Vest treatment and an extra breathing treatment and will see how that goes. He is never sick, so when he starts with this the whole reality of CF really sets in :( I HATE CF!!!
Well, better get up and get ready and off to church!

It't been a long time....
Hello everyone, sorry it has taken me so long to post. We have had a lot going on and I always have to cut down on computer time. Well, we did have our Great Strides walk and it went over well. It was May 2, 2009 at Theis Park, Kansas City, MO and our team raised over $6,000.00. THe whole event raised over $200,000. Isn't that just great!!! We were very pleased with the whole walk. We had a great 1st year and can not wait to do it again. We have a lot of new ideas for next year.
Parker still has a bigt of a cough. They had us come up to Children's Mercy last Wed. for a culture. On the way up there he ended up throwing up. They put him on antibiotics just to be safe. Well, Monday afternoon after a 3 hr nap he wok up with a 103' temp. We took him to the Dr.'s and they tested him for influenza. It came back neg. Thank you GOD!!! Our Ped. said that it was either a virus or an antibiotic resistant bacterial infection. He said that if it was not better in a couple days to call the CF Clinic and schedule a lung xray. His culture can back clear and he is much better today. He did have a 99.5-100. temp though on tue and wed. morning. We think it is just a virus and he is finally better. We go back on the 22nd for our 3 month check up and we will have them take a look at him then.
I had a great mother's day. Happy late mother's day to all you wonderful mothers out there :)

Yuk!
These couple of days have been rough. Parker ended up getting RSV/cold last Tuesday and then ended up sleeping and being grouchy. We got past that, but still have this nasty cough. He had not being gaining weight like he should have been at his last appt., so they had us put him on Pediasure. We have been trying that, but switched to Pedialight when he was sick. Since then he has been having awful diapers. They are like what he had before we started him on his enzymes. I will not gross you out with the details, but they are not normal. He hasn't been eating or drinking well either. He woke up yesterday with a dry diaper and usually it is soaked! My mom and dad had him all day yesterday and he would not eat anything but a few pieces of apple. He also wouldn't drink anything but a half a cup of pedialight all day. So, by last night I was a bit concerned. He had not had a wet diaper all day. I ended up calling our Dr. from Children's Mercy and he said try to get him to drink something and if he hadn't eat, drank or had a wet diaper by Sun. morning they wanted him to come on up and they would start and IV. The other thing that worried him was that everytime he would try to eat something he would kind choke. So he wanted me to watch that and if it keeps going on he wants to check that out to. I had went to several different restraunts trying to get him to pick out something to eat, but he wanted nothing. He woke up at 3 am and he had went poop. Thank GOD!!! I got him to eat a popsicle and drink a whole cup of pediasure. He woke up again this morning and had another poop diaper. We stayed home this morning from Church and I have gotten him to eat a couple bites of stuff he wanted. I am also pushing the liquids. I am just worried because I can tell something is not right with him. I just wish everything would go away! I don't know if I need to adjust his enzymes, take him off milk, or if it is just a stomach thing. It's is all just trial and error. Anways, sorry to vent to you all!
We are soo excited about the Great Strides Walk. We already have about 20 people signed up online and my sis in law Lauren has gotten about 27 girls from the Nursing dept. at UMKC signed up. She said that was only the seniors and she was still going to recruit the sophmores and juniors. We should have a huge group walking with us :)
